Operations Intern

About the role

Zurich Canada is seeking a motivated Operations Intern to support the Resilience Solutions Operations team. The role involves data analysis, reporting, process documentation, and system administration in a collaborative, values‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with data collection, validation, cleansing, analysis and reporting using Excel, Power BI and other business systems.
• Maintain accurate customer, policy, service request and assignment information in the Global Risk Engineering Workstation (GREW) and related systems.
• Monitor shared inbox requests, gather missing information, coordinate follow‑ups and route requests to appropriate team members.
• Support recurring and ad‑hoc analyses such as revenue, lead‑time, utilization and data‑quality reporting.
• Collaborate with Operations, Risk Engineering, Underwriting, Climate and other internal stakeholders to fulfill business priorities.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a university or college program (ideally entering 3rd or 4th year) in Business Administration, Operations Management, Data Analytics, Risk Management, Insurance or a related discipline.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for organizing, validating, analyzing and presenting data.
• Experience with or interest in learning Power BI and other data‑visualisation tools.
