Onboarding Coordinator (Nuclear)

About the role

Black & McDonald’s Power Generation Region team is seeking an Onboarding Coordinator to manage onboarding activities for nuclear projects. The role ensures new hires are prepared, compliant, and equipped through well‑organized processes and close collaboration with hiring managers, HR partners, site teams, and training providers.

Key responsibilities

• Create hiring plans, attend outage and project planning meetings, and coordinate orientation and training for new hires.
• Prepare hire kits, manage CBT lists, schedule orientations, and activate new hires in client training systems.
• Process security clearance applications, maintain clearance records, and generate clearance reports.
• Maintain training rosters, schedule Plant Access Training, and manage credit transfers.
• Track onboarding metrics, prepare hire forecasts, and ensure accurate documentation and audit compliance.

Required profile

• College diploma or university degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5 years of administrative or coordination experience in onboarding, HR, or training environments.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills with ability to handle high‑volume transactions.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Office 365 (Lists, Teams, SharePoint).
• Experience with LMS platforms and onboarding systems such as ONBoard, SCIA, ServiceHub, BambooHR.
