Nurse Practitioner

About the role

Calian is seeking a full‑time Nurse Practitioner to join its clinical team at Canadian Forces Base Vancouver. The role provides comprehensive primary health care to Canadian Armed Forces members, including preventive care, minor trauma treatment, and health promotion.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health assessments and develop appropriate care plans.
• Prescribe medications, order diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests in line with RN Extended Class standards.
• Manage stable chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and asthma.
• Collaborate with physicians, mental health professionals, and other specialists when care exceeds NP scope.
• Make medical employment limitation recommendations according to Surgeon General guidelines.

Required profile

• Licensed and in good standing with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
• Minimum one year of post‑graduation experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Basic Life Support for Health Providers or CPR/AED Level C certification.
