Nurse Clinician – Endocrinology (N4)

About the role

The Endocrinology department at St. Boniface Hospital is seeking a Nurse Clinician (N4) to provide expert clinical care, education, and leadership in diabetes management. This fixed‑term position runs from July 20, 2026 to July 19, 2027 and offers a full‑time, day‑shift schedule on site.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing assessments and interventions for patients with endocrine disorders, with a focus on diabetes.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring alignment with provincial standards and the Regulated Health Professions Act.
• Provide education and counseling to patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives, research projects, and teaching activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to clinical audits.

Required profile

• Minimum five (5) years of related clinical nursing experience.
• Baccalaureate of Nursing (or equivalent) and post‑basic advanced assessment training.
• Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
• Active involvement in professional nursing associations is preferred.
• Certification as a Diabetes Educator (CDE) is an asset.
