Navigator – Client Services (Summer Grant)

About the role

The Navigator, Client Services role is the first point of contact between the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories and its clients. It involves referral intake, outreach, and maintaining accurate client information while providing valuable experience in a supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supporting referral intake & ongoing follow‑up.
• Participating in the delivery of standardized programs.
• Providing outreach about services and benefits.
• Maintaining accurate and objective client records.
• Assisting in raising public awareness about dementia.
• Reviewing and modifying client accounts for accuracy.
• Manually updating the Society’s database after consulting team members.
• Performing other similar duties as required.

Required profile

• Some post‑secondary education in Social Work, Health Services, Human Services or a related field.
• Experience in a customer or client‑service environment.
• Understanding of Alzheimer’s disease/dementia and care‑partner issues (asset).
• Familiarity with services for seniors or persons with disabilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Recent vulnerable sector check.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office 365.
• Experience with data entry and database updates.

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $23.00 CAD plus 4 % vacation paid semimonthly.
• Full‑time schedule (35 hours/week) in an office environment.
