Music Lessons Teacher (Independent Contractor)

About the role
Long & McQuade is seeking experienced music teachers to join its on‑site Lesson Centres as independent contractors. You will deliver private or group lessons to students of all ages, helping them develop proficiency on a range of instruments.
Key responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality one‑on‑one or group music lessons in the store’s Lesson Centre.
- Prepare and follow lesson plans that align with standard curricula.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Maintain a safe, supportive learning environment.
Required profile
- Music degree or diploma from a recognized university or college, OR a minimum Grade 8 RCM standing with Grade 2 Rudiments professional equivalency.
- Proven teaching experience with students of various ages.
- Strong knowledge of standard teaching methods and lesson curriculum for private or group settings.
Required skills
- Violin performance proficiency.
