About the role

The Search, Recommendations and Product Knowledge team is looking for an MTS 1 Software Engineer to tackle high‑impact eCommerce challenges and help shape the future of online buying and selling.

Key responsibilities

• Translate requirements into clean, efficient, extensible and maintainable software designs.
• Own subsystems within a large domain, developing deep expertise.
• Manage the full software lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, observability and monitoring.
• Influence technical decisions and guide peers toward optimal solutions.
• Identify change‑prone features and embed flexibility to improve engineering velocity.
• Collaborate across multiple functions to deliver innovative solutions aligned with development goals.
• Apply evidence‑centered design to make features testable and ensure high quality.
• Break down project features into tasks, resolve issues and ensure efficient execution.
• Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews and mentor team members.

Required profile

• Strong ability to convert requirements into software design.
• Experience taking ownership of software components throughout their lifecycle.
• Proven track record of influencing technical decisions and mentoring others.
• Effective collaboration skills with cross‑functional partners.
