Mobile Maintenance Mechanic

About the role

Join Black & McDonald as a Mobile Maintenance Mechanic, providing on‑site support for a portfolio of properties across the GTA. You will ensure facilities operate safely and efficiently while delivering responsive service to tenants.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine property and site inspections to ensure functionality and safety.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing assets, fire and life‑safety equipment, and utility rooms.
• Inspect and maintain lifting devices, cranes, compressors, overhead doors and related equipment.
• Execute corrective maintenance tasks such as gutter clean‑outs, fence repairs, brick and mortar work, and general landscaping.
• Respond to tenant requests for temperature adjustments, lighting changes, minor repairs and furniture relocation while delivering excellent customer service.

Required profile

• High School Diploma; Building Environment System Certificate or trade licence is an asset.
• 1–3 years experience maintaining complex building systems with a focus on HVAC.
• Valid Ontario G driver’s licence and ability to travel within the GTA.

Required skills

• HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Building Automation Systems (BAS) operation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite.
