About the role

Financeit is looking for a motivated Software Developer to join its growing engineering team. You will work on a fintech platform that powers point‑of‑sale financing for major home‑improvement and retail brands across Canada. The role emphasizes continuous learning, high‑quality code, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Design, write, and maintain clean, testable, and maintainable code.
• Deliver new features, fix defects, and improve the existing codebase.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, designers, testers, and business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the evolution of the tech stack.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Hands‑on experience with Ruby on Rails or a comparable modern web framework.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Redis, and relational databases (SQL).
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Strong curiosity for new technologies and a commitment to continuous learning.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in an agile development environment.
