Merchandise Controller – Distribution Center

About the role

We are seeking a Merchandise Controller to ensure high‑quality, timely merchandise flows into our Brampton Distribution Center. The role bridges Distribution Services with Home Office Merchandising, Planning and Allocation teams, influencing product value, seasonality and efficient production.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and process damaged, problem merchandise and RTVs according to guidelines.
• Inspect legal labeling requirements, including CSA standards, bilingual labeling, fabric content and country of origin.
• Review logos, graphics, hangtags and overall product presentation for store readiness.
• Resolve merchandise discrepancies and coordinate with Planning for accurate descriptions and pricing.
• Analyze and resolve complex issues using Mainframe and SCAN systems.

Required profile

• High school diploma (OSSD Grade 12) or equivalent; post‑secondary education in Business Administration or Fashion Merchandising is an asset.
• Minimum two years experience in retail merchandising or distribution with knowledge of brand, fashion, quality and pricing.
• Strong organizational, time‑management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
