Membership Sales Representative (Temporary Part‑time)

About the role

The Art Gallery of Ontario is seeking a temporary part‑time Membership Sales Representative to join its Visitor Services team. You will be the front‑line contact for members and visitors, promoting the benefits of membership and processing sales, renewals, and donations.

Key responsibilities

• Solicit membership renewals, upgrades and donations at the Membership Services Desk, kiosks and satellite stations.
• Accurately process all payment methods, complete opening and closing procedures, and ensure proper coding for reporting.
• Provide detailed information about collections, exhibitions, programs, hours, admission policies and ticketing.
• Enter and maintain membership data, including new applications, address changes and duplicate checks.
• Collaborate with Front of House staff and volunteers to achieve on‑site conversion targets.
• Assist with telemarketing, direct‑mail and email renewal/acquisition campaigns as needed.
• Offer backup support for back‑of‑house membership activities.

Required profile

• Excellent customer‑service orientation with strong communication skills.
• Availability to work weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays, including full Saturdays and Sundays.
• Must be available the first Wednesday of each month from 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm and one additional full day (Tuesday, Thursday or Friday).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced museum environment.
