Medical Science Liaison – Specialty Care (Quebec Atlantic)

About the role

AbbVie is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join its Medical Affairs team in Quebec. The MSL will build and maintain scientific relationships with external experts and healthcare professionals, supporting the company’s specialty care portfolio across the province.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain deep scientific knowledge to credibly disseminate information to external experts (EEs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs).
• Support and follow‑up on investigator‑initiated studies, clinical studies, and medical projects within the therapeutic area.
• Provide scientific support and nurture relationships with external experts and academic centres.
• Deliver credible scientific presentations to HCPs, both individually and in group settings.
• Identify qualified HCPs for collaborative efforts such as advisory boards, congresses, symposiums, and other scientific engagements.

Required profile

• Strong background in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex scientific information.
• Experience interacting with key opinion leaders and academic institutions.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• In‑depth scientific knowledge of the relevant therapeutic area.
• Proficiency in delivering scientific presentations.
• Capability to manage and support investigator‑initiated and clinical studies.
