About the role

Albany Medical Clinic is seeking a full‑time Medical Doctor to join its Edmonton practice. The physician will deliver comprehensive, patient‑centered care in a collaborative, community‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient examinations, diagnose conditions, and develop evidence‑based treatment plans.
• Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests.
• Provide preventive care, patient education, and chronic disease management.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Coordinate care with nursing and allied health staff and ensure compliance with clinical guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Participate in case discussions, quality‑improvement initiatives, and multidisciplinary team meetings.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution and completion of an approved residency program.
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure to practice medicine in Alberta, in good standing with the relevant regulatory authority.
• Demonstrated clinical competence in primary care or a relevant specialty.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse patient populations and multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, continuous learning, and evidence‑based guidelines.
