Media Relations Coordinator (Bilingual)

About the role

The Green Party of Canada is seeking a bilingual Media Relations Coordinator to manage press interactions, support the Leader and caucus, and help shape the party’s owned‑media strategy. This full‑time remote position works within a small, creative communications team.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to media inquiries, arrange interviews, and coordinate press events such as conferences and scrums.
• Write, edit, translate, and distribute press releases, advisories and statements in English and French.
• Build and maintain relationships with national English‑ and French‑language journalists, podcasters, influencers and content creators.
• Identify earned‑media opportunities, pitch stories, and monitor misinformation to issue corrections.
• Provide weekly media coverage reports, briefing notes and talking points for the Leader and caucus.
• Contribute to the party’s owned‑media strategy, content planning and performance analysis.

Required profile

• Bilingual fluency in English and French.
• At least three years of experience in media relations, communications, journalism or a related field.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of Canadian politics, the parliamentary system and key media outlets.
• Self‑motivated, organized and able to manage competing priorities.
• Commitment to the values and principles of the Green Party of Canada.
