Mechanical Reliability Engineer – Belleville

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Reliability Engineer to join a leading Canadian food manufacturer in Belleville. In this high‑impact position you will drive equipment reliability, support capital projects and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives across a highly automated plant.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse equipment failures and lead root‑cause investigations to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Develop and optimise preventive and predictive maintenance programmes.
• Support the design, installation and commissioning of new machinery and capital upgrades.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain to maximise overall equipment effectiveness.
• Monitor reliability metrics and implement improvement actions.

Required profile

• Strong background in mechanical engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to solve complex mechanical problems and drive reliability improvements.
• Excellent analytical mindset and data‑driven decision making.
• Effective communication and teamwork across multiple functions.
