Mechanical Engineering Technologist

About the role

The Mechanical Engineering Technologist will support the design, testing, and documentation of automobile parts and related tooling. Working on‑site in a noisy, dusty environment, you will collaborate with engineering teams to ensure high‑quality mechanical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Create user manuals and assist in preparing design drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Support the design of moulds, tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures using CAD.
• Conduct mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components, and materials.
• Estimate costs and material requirements for projects.
• Supervise maintenance programs, monitor installations, and inspect construction projects.

Required profile

• College‑level certificate or diploma (1‑2 years) in a relevant engineering technology program.
• 2‑3 years of hands‑on experience in mechanical design or testing.
• Ability to work outdoors in noisy and dusty conditions.
• Strong client focus, organized, and effective team player.

Required skills

• Computer‑aided design (CAD).
• Mechanical testing and analysis.
• Cost estimation for projects and materials.
