Mechanical Engineer – FreeCAD (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with strong expertise in FreeCAD to create, edit, and validate high-quality parametric CAD models. The role is fully remote and supports the generation of AI‑training datasets for mechanical design.

Key responsibilities

• Produce precise parametric CAD models in FreeCAD, ensuring geometric accuracy and adherence to engineering best practices.
• Develop a library of mechanical parts, assemblies, and features for AI dataset creation.
• Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) to reflect real-world manufacturing standards.
• Conduct quality-assurance reviews of CAD data, identify discrepancies, and maintain detailed documentation.
• Incorporate feedback and revisions quickly to keep deliverables aligned with evolving project needs.
• Optionally use Python scripting to automate modeling tasks and enhance parametrization.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mechanical design, CAD modeling, manufacturing, or industrial engineering.
• Deep understanding of parametric modeling principles and GD&T application.
• Familiarity with common manufacturing processes and industrial engineering concepts.
• Ability to prepare clear engineering documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Python scripting skills are a strong plus, though not mandatory.
