Mechanical Designer (Engineer)

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Designer to join our fast‑growing team at Oxygen8. The role focuses on HVAC OEM equipment, especially energy‑recovery and VRV systems, and offers the chance to work on both standard and custom product designs from concept through to production.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product management, engineering, marketing and manufacturing to create full‑scale models and detailed drawings for new products.
• Support product testing, certification, and prototype assembly, including sourcing components and managing in‑house builds.
• Develop and maintain Bills of Materials, integrate data with the Epicor ERP system, and provide technical details for software implementation.
• Create marketing support material such as brochures, renders, 3D‑printed models and installation manuals.
• Generate sales drawings, submittal documents and production work instructions, and adapt standard units for custom applications.
• Assist operations with production runs and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in HVAC OEM design.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work across multiple disciplines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 3D CAD modelling, preferably SolidWorks.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Familiarity with ERP systems, especially Epicor, for BOM and data integration.
