Mechanical Assembly Technician – Afternoon Shift

About the role

We are seeking a motivated, hands‑on Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our Mechanical Assembly Team on the afternoon shift. You will work on the assembly, start‑up, testing and commissioning of high‑speed automated manufacturing equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble precision machine components and perform machining operations such as milling, turning, and surface grinding.
• Read and interpret detailed mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, vendor component drawings, and pneumatic schematics.
• Move, stage, and install heavy parts using appropriate lifting and rigging techniques.
• Conduct mechanical system start‑up, testing, debugging, and on‑site commissioning.
• Maintain 5S standards and keep work areas clean.
• Travel 30‑60% domestically and internationally to support machine installation and troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Degree or certificate in Mechanical Technology, Toolmaking, Machining, Millwright, or equivalent apprenticeship.
• 5+ years of experience assembling custom automated machinery or precision mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in reading engineering, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics.
• Valid passport and ability to travel extensively.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
