About the role
Major Repairs Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic Mechanic Helper to join its Winnipeg workshop. This entry‑level position supports tradespeople and apprentices in daily shop operations, offering on‑the‑job training for candidates with no prior experience. The role is physically demanding and requires a commitment to safety and teamwork.
Key responsibilities
- Move tools, equipment and other materials to where they are needed.
- Assist tradespersons, apprentices and other workers as directed.
- Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe environment.
Required profile
- Dependable, organized and reliable.
- Physically capable of handling heavy loads up to 23 kg (50 lb) and performing a mix of sitting, standing and walking.
- Own steel‑toed safety boots.
- No prior experience required – training will be provided.
- Availability for early‑morning, evening, day and weekend shifts.
