Materiel Management Technician

About the role

Materiel Management Technicians ensure that all supplies and services required for Canadian Armed Forces operations are available when and where they are needed. The role can be performed on a part‑time or full‑time basis in Yukon or other locations across Canada, supporting the Navy, Army or Air Force.

Key responsibilities

• Manage purchasing, warehousing, shipping, receiving, stock control and disposal of obsolete equipment.
• Operate military vehicles up to 10 tons and material‑handling equipment such as forklifts.
• Process invoices, prepare shipping documents and maintain accounting and financial records.
• Order material from internal and external sources, deliver supplies to operational units and coordinate repair and disposal functions.

Required profile

• Completion of Grade 10 (or equivalent secondary education).
• No prior work experience required; recruiters will assess personal interests and attributes.
• Willingness to undergo Basic Military Qualification and occupational training.

Required skills

• Forklift operation.
• Vehicle operation (military vehicles up to 10 tons).
• Material handling and inventory control.
