Marketing & Communications Coordinator for Engineering Outreach

About the role

The Geering Up Marketing & Communications Coordinator will develop and execute marketing strategies that promote Geering Up Engineering Outreach’s camps, clubs, workshops, events, and recruitment initiatives. Working closely with the Geering Up administrative team and the Applied Science MarCom Team, you will help raise the profile of this non‑profit STEM outreach organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design and lead multi‑media marketing campaigns to support camps, workshops, events and staff recruitment.
• Create compelling marketing materials (flyers, digital assets, social media posts) that drive participation and awareness.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent branding and messaging.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, tracking performance against participation goals.
• Provide flexible support for evening and weekend outreach activities as required.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in marketing communications, preferably within an educational or non‑profit setting.
• Strong project‑management abilities and capacity to handle several initiatives at once.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends for event support.
