Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer will support all engineering activities within assigned production cells, focusing on electrical system integration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor, you will help drive lean initiatives and ensure smooth implementation of engineering changes.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cell teams to meet operational metrics and take corrective actions when needed.
• Represent manufacturing engineering in daily cell meetings and weekly plant metrics reviews.
• Design or specify equipment, tooling, and tracking solutions required for production.
• Review and support engineering change orders (ECOs) and engineering change notifications (ECNs) within assigned cells.
• Lead or participate in SWAT teams to resolve cross‑functional issues.
• Specify, coordinate, and oversee capital equipment upgrades, installations, or modifications.
• Assist with process planning and production engineering tasks.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
• Lean certification or comparable hands‑on lean manufacturing experience.
• Strong computer and organizational abilities.
• Goal‑oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Previous experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment is an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with Unigraphics.
• Familiarity with Oracle systems.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and methodologies.
