About the role
The University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Medicine is seeking a Manager to lead the Clinical Skills Program within the MD Undergraduate Program. This role supports the delivery of practical, skills‑based education for medical students across diverse urban, rural and Indigenous communities.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement an administrative and engagement strategy for the Clinical Skills Curriculum aligned with the Faculty of Medicine Strategic Plan.
- Coordinate curriculum delivery, ensuring best practices in medical education, accessibility, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and learners to foster inclusive, community‑focused learning environments.
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation for the program.
- Lead initiatives that promote innovative teaching methods and respect diverse cultural and gender identities.
Required profile
- Proven experience in managing educational or clinical training programs.
- Strong understanding of medical undergraduate education and curriculum development.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple campuses and community partners.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in educational settings.
