Manager, Billing and Accounts Receivable

About the role

The Manager, Billing and Accounts Receivable will lead a regional team of Team Leaders, ensuring timely and accurate billing and collection processes across all offices. This role partners closely with key stakeholders in a professional services environment, driving continuous improvement of the invoice‑to‑cash cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Support, manage and delegate work to regional Team Leaders while meeting priority deadlines.
• Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders across practice areas.
• Ensure billing accuracy, meet collection targets, and manage debt recovery.
• Oversee quality assurance and control of billing processes in all cities.
• Analyze complex billing transactions and recommend policy improvements.
• Drive process enhancements to reduce work‑in‑progress and accounts receivable balances.
• Communicate procedural changes to stakeholders and the billing team.
• Maintain compliance with company accounting policies, tax authorities, and external regulations.
• Prepare detailed reports and support internal and external audits.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in Billing and Accounts Receivable.
• 3+ years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Background in professional services; legal industry experience preferred.
• Proven ability to oversee both billing and collections functions.
• Experience managing teams and collaborating with stakeholders in a professional services setting.
