Maintenance Technician

About the role

Hotel Arts is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join its Facilities department. You will work on a dynamic team that ensures the hotel’s infrastructure runs smoothly, supporting guest satisfaction across rooms, public spaces, and meeting areas.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds of the building, monitoring and adjusting infrastructure for efficient operation.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on guest rooms, including heating/cooling, plumbing, lighting and related systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance calls from guests and staff, addressing deficiencies and requests.
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Update the Chief Engineer on project timelines, parts, and supply needs.
• Participate in the Emergency Response Plan and departmental meetings.
• Perform other comparable duties as required.

Required profile

• Previous hotel or similar facility experience is an asset.
• Trade tickets or certifications (e.g., plumbing) are a plus.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong time‑management and communication abilities.
• Basic computer proficiency.
