Machine Operator (Glass Line)

About the role

Durabuilt is seeking a Machine Operator to work on its Glass Line, producing high‑quality insulated glass units for windows and doors. The successful candidate will apply their knowledge of glass handling and sealed‑unit assembly while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate insulated glass (IG) production lines according to standard procedures.
• Identify and handle glass types safely, using appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Inspect incoming materials, report defects, and complete quality documentation accurately.
• Maintain a tidy work area, manage waste recycling, and perform daily dust removal.
• Follow all injury‑prevention policies and safety requirements throughout the facility.
• Collaborate with the continuous‑improvement team to suggest and implement process enhancements.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable working with metric and imperial measurements (mm and inches).
• Ability to read and interpret specification sheets.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English.
