Machine Learning Engineering Expert – Remote, $90/hr

About the role

We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineering Expert to join our remote team on an hourly contract basis. You will work on advanced AI research and evaluation projects, tackling real‑world ML challenges and helping to improve next‑generation AI systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end machine learning solutions for prediction and modeling problems.
• Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and data preprocessing.
• Train, tune, and evaluate models across tabular, text, image, and time‑series data.
• Develop high‑quality reference implementations using industry‑standard techniques.
• Document methodologies, assumptions, and results in a reproducible manner.
• Iteratively improve model performance through systematic experimentation.

Required profile

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience building, training, and optimizing machine learning models.
• Strong understanding of model evaluation metrics, validation strategies, and experimental design.
• Ability to work independently on open‑ended ML problems.
