About the role
This is a Long‑Term Occasional (LTO) teaching assignment for Semester 1, covering two periods of Dramatic Arts in the Simcoe County District School Board. The position is part‑time, with a salary pro‑rated based on the annual range provided.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver effective instruction in Dramatic Arts to assigned classes.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and grades.
- Manage classroom environment and maintain discipline.
- Report student progress to the principal as requested.
- Collaborate with other teachers and follow the instructional program set by the principal.
- Complete mandatory training and comply with board policies on equity, inclusion, and safety.
Required profile
- Qualified teacher credential for Dramatic Arts in Ontario.
- Willingness to provide two professional references, including current or most recent supervisor.
- Ability to obtain a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check before start date.
- Commitment to the board’s principles of dignity, individualization, inclusion, and accommodation.
- Alignment with equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
