Lot Associate – Service Department

About the role

The Lot Associate supports the Service department by ensuring vehicles are safely transported, cleaned, and prepared for customer delivery. This full‑time role at OpenRoad Toyota Richmond offers a dynamic environment with a focus on safety, customer service, and teamwork.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safe transport and use of company property, including moving vehicles and delivering parts or paperwork.
• Start all vehicles, check and recharge dead batteries, and wash vehicles after service tasks.
• Keep inventory, showroom, and work areas neat, clean, and organized; maintain spotless display vehicles.
• Perform winter duties such as shoveling, sanding doorways, and clearing snow and ice from lot vehicles.
• Transport customers as requested by Sales & Service Managers and assist with picking up/delivering parts and personnel.
• Report any supplies, equipment issues, or hazardous conditions to management promptly.
• Follow company safety policies, report accidents, and adhere to business systems and technology.
• Assist with additional tasks assigned by Sales or Service Managers, such as emptying trash or washing customer cars.

Required profile

• Valid British Columbia driver’s licence with a clean driving abstract.
• Ability to work cooperatively with other employees and operate assigned equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and high quality‑control standards.
• Ability to make sound decisions consistent with essential job functions.
• Ability to work effectively against deadlines.
