Loss Prevention Agent – Retail Security

About the role

Join Simons as a Loss Prevention Agent and act as the front‑line guardian of people, merchandise and store assets. You will work directly on the shop floor, supporting staff and ensuring a safe, secure environment for customers and colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the safety of people and premises throughout the store.
• Serve as the first responder during emergency situations.
• Detect and deter shoplifting activities.
• Collaborate with police authorities to make arrests in accordance with legal and company procedures.
• Prepare incident reports and issue identification cards for staff members.

Required profile

• Empathetic, caring and disciplined personality.
• Strong resourcefulness with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Relevant professional experience in a similar security or loss‑prevention role is an asset.
• Possession of a provincial security permit (BSP) is mandatory.
• Fluency in the official language of the store’s province (French in Quebec; English in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, Nova Scotia).
