Long Haul Truck Driver

About the role

DAY TO DAY LOGISTICS INC is seeking a reliable long haul truck driver to transport goods across various locations. You will work as part of a two‑person team or convoy, ensuring timely deliveries while supporting our green logistics initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and adjust routes using computer and GPS equipment to minimise fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
• Perform pre‑trip, en‑route and post‑trip inspections, including brake adjustments, tire checks and cold‑storage equipment.
• Drive safely as part of a two‑person team or convoy and oversee vehicle condition.
• Record cargo details, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption, and relay information to central dispatch.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience; no prior experience required (training provided).
• Flexibility, good judgement, strong organisation and reliability.
• Ability to work various locations and varying shifts (early morning, evening, night, weekends).

Required skills

• Route planning with computer and GPS navigation systems.
• Vehicle inspection and brake adjustment.
