Long Haul Truck Driver – Full‑Time Permanent

About the role

Emerging Fleet Inc. is seeking a reliable long haul truck driver to join its two‑person teams on international routes. This full‑time permanent position involves transporting goods across borders while ensuring safety, compliance, and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Drive straight or articulated trucks as part of a convoy or two‑person team.
• Obtain and maintain special permits and documentation for international cargo.
• Inspect vehicle condition, including tires, lights, brakes, cold‑storage units, and perform emergency roadside repairs.
• Conduct pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections and record cargo details, hours of service, distance, and fuel consumption.
• Secure cargo with tarping and ensure its safety throughout the journey.
• Communicate regularly with central dispatch, relaying information and updates.

Required profile

• Valid Class 1 (or A) driver’s licence.
• Air Brakes Endorsement certification.
• Strong judgement, reliability, and ability to work as a team player.
• Flexibility to work day shifts and spend extended periods on the road.
