Logistics Supervisor

About the role

The Ministry of Natural Resources is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to lead regional logistics operations that support wildfire response in Northeast Ontario. This role ensures that frontline teams have the equipment, supplies, and warehouse support needed for both planned activities and active fire incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a regional logistics team, overseeing equipment, supplies, and warehouse functions.
• Manage budgets, contracts, and procurement processes to maintain resource availability.
• Coordinate logistics support during periods of heightened wildfire activity, including travel across the province.
• Support equipment maintenance programs and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with provincial, national, and international partners on research and evaluation activities.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards throughout logistics operations.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in logistics, supply chain, or emergency services.
• Strong understanding of budget and contract management.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑stakes environment and make sound decisions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with internal teams and external partners.
• Willingness to travel occasionally across Ontario.
