About the role
J-Man Electric is seeking a motivated Line Installer to join its telecommunications team in Winnipeg. You will work on both aerial and underground telephone networks, ensuring reliable service for customers.
Key responsibilities
- Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment.
- Test equipment to locate transmission faults and diagnose issues.
- Determine the nature, cause, and location of service troubles.
- Climb poles, use ladders or other support structures to work aloft safely.
- Splice, join, and connect wires according to industry standards.
Required profile
- Secondary (high school) graduation certificate.
- 1 to less than 2 years of experience in telecommunications line work or a related field.
- Ability to work at heights and handle physical demands of the job.
Required skills
- Telephone equipment installation.
- Fault detection and troubleshooting.
- Wire splicing and connection.
