Line Cook – Airport Restaurant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Line Cook to join our airport restaurant team at Calgary International Airport. The role offers a fast‑paced kitchen environment where you will prepare and present dishes for a variety of dining concepts.

Key responsibilities

• Follow recipes, measure portions, garnish and plate dishes according to standards.
• Set up and maintain your workstation, including ordering, storing and rotating fresh, dry, frozen and condiment supplies.
• Handle, store and rotate products safely, ensuring proper food safety practices.
• Maintain and clean kitchen equipment and machines, performing routine checks.
• Prepare daily stock, cut and store perishable goods to preserve quality.
• Complete opening, in‑progress and closing control sheets as required.
• Clean and organize utensils, work areas, refrigerators, freezers and waste bins at the end of each shift.
• Perform general and specific cleaning using approved products to meet hygiene standards.
• Follow manager instructions, conduct end‑of‑shift stock checks and ensure the kitchen is ready for the next day.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of experience in a food‑service environment.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada and ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identification Card for airport security.
• Food handler permit and any required brand certifications.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in confined spaces.

Required skills

• Basic mathematical skills for portioning and inventory.
