About the role

Join GDI Services as a Light Duty Cleaner in Bathurst, NB. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across office spaces, washrooms, and common areas. The role involves routine cleaning tasks, waste handling, and ensuring a safe, pleasant environment for employees and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Empty garbage containers, reline them and transport waste to designated bins or compactor.
• Collect and dispose of recycling materials according to company guidelines.
• Clean and restock washrooms with supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and hand sanitizer.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum floors and dust furniture.
• Disinfect and polish stainless steel fixtures, door handles, walls, and countertops.
• Maintain cleaning equipment, report any issues, and ensure proper storage.

Required profile

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform light physical tasks.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and report any damaged utilities.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Required skills

• Basic cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and safety data sheets.
• Ability to operate floor cleaning machines.
• Knowledge of proper waste handling and sanitation practices.
