Key responsibilities

• Carry out daily tasks within the scope of practice of the NSCN, following procedures and standards.
• Complete documentation and charting on resident files, incident reports, and use Point Click Care for resident information.
• Administer medications according to care plans and MAR, documenting appropriately.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents, employees, and organizational data.
• Communicate with families and health‑care providers to develop care plans.
• Respond immediately to emergency situations involving residents or staff.
• Supervise other staff when required and provide end‑of‑shift reports.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing; Pharmacology included in LPN program or approved course.
• Professional attitude and appearance.
• Experience working with seniors is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, under pressure and in emergencies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Criminal record and vulnerable sector check required.

Required skills

• LPN/RPN registration.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Pharmacology knowledge.
• Proficiency with Point Click Care documentation system.
