Landscape Worker

About the role

Mylestone Property Maintenance is seeking a reliable Landscape Worker to join our Ottawa team. You will work outdoors in various urban locations, assisting with the construction, maintenance, and beautification of commercial landscapes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with landscape construction tasks, including tying and securing plants.
• Weed, prune, trim, and cut grass; rake and collect refuse.
• Remove litter and garbage, cart and spread topsoil, sod, or seed.
• Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees; water and tend to lawns and gardens.
• Operate and maintain landscape equipment such as roto‑tillers, tractor mowers, and weed trimmers/edgers.
• Write basic daily progress reports.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation.
• 1–2 years of landscape or grounds‑maintenance experience.
• Physically demanding work: lifting heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for long periods.
• Ability to work in fast‑paced, noisy, dusty, wet or hot outdoor conditions.
• Valid driver’s licence; clean driving record; vehicle provided by employer.
• Reliability, punctuality, teamwork, and client‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Operation of roto‑tiller equipment.
• Use of small‑engine tools.
• Tractor mower operation.
• Weed trimmer/edger handling.
