Landscape Foreman – Full‑Time

About the role

Houston Landscapes Ltd. is looking for an experienced Landscape Foreman to lead its ground‑maintenance team in North Vancouver. This full‑time, permanent position offers a competitive hourly wage and the chance to oversee a variety of horticultural and hard‑scaping projects.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect daily landscape conditions to ensure standards and quality expectations are met.
• Prioritize horticultural tasks and coordinate work assignments.
• Manage and coordinate ground‑maintenance workers, maintaining work records and logs.
• Plan and estimate labour and material requirements for projects.
• Assign duties, train, and mentor new employees.
• Oversee planning and construction of landscaped environments, including trees, shrubs, flowers, lawns, and soft‑scape features.
• Assist in installing paving stone patios, walkways, driveways, ponds, water features, flagstone, and natural stone decks.
• Organize and supervise site excavation and grading.
• Attend managerial, committee, and planning meetings as required.

Required profile

• Completed apprenticeship as a gardener or equivalent work experience.
• Valid driver’s licence and comfortable operating a tractor and pick‑up truck.
• Minimum three years’ experience as a foreman or supervisor.
• Ability to supervise a crew of 16‑20 people.
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
• Team player with strong client focus and excellent oral communication.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

What we offer

• $37.00 per hour, paid bi‑weekly, with overtime as per BC Employment Standards Act.
