Land Agent – Contract Position in Fort St. John

About the role

We require a motivated Land Agent (Contract) to act as our company representative and support our continued growth throughout British Columbia. The role involves acquiring land, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with legislation while maintaining strong relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain rapport with landowners and stakeholders; negotiate and execute various land acquisition agreements.
• Audit acquisition documents, prepare consultation records, and maintain accurate contact and land status information.
• Provide daily time and accurate reporting to the manager, assist other disciplines with field work, and maintain continuous communication with clients.
• Research and apply regulatory and legislative requirements, review legal agreements, and stay current on construction, farming, and environmental practices.
• Adhere to health and safety policies, use required PPE, report hazards, and promote a safety culture; travel regularly to project sites as needed.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent with post‑secondary education.
• Experience in farming, sales, or construction is an asset.
• Land Agent’s License or interim license preferred; Commissioner for Oaths preferred or ability to obtain.
• Class 5 Driver’s License is required.
