L3 Network Operations Consultant – Technical Lead

About the role

We are seeking a senior consultant to lead L3 network operations for our enterprise environment in Toronto. The role combines technical leadership, advanced troubleshooting, and the design of modern network architectures while working in a hybrid on‑site/remote model.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L3 support for critical incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and drive resolution.
• Define network standards, SOPs and produce high‑level and low‑level designs (HLD/LLD).
• Collaborate with security, cloud, infrastructure and application teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Monitor network performance, implement continuous optimization and automation.
• Manage vendor relationships, coordinate upgrades and lead technology refresh initiatives.
• Mentor and guide L1/L2 engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and best practices.

Required profile

• Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA; CCIE Routing & Switching preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Proven experience designing, deploying and optimizing enterprise network architectures.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Required skills

• Cisco ACI – fabric configuration, policy modelling, tenant creation, contracts, integration and troubleshooting.
• Cisco Routing & Switching – BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP, QoS, WAN optimization.
• Cisco DNA Center – assurance, automation workflows, templates and configuration management.
• Cisco Wireless – controller‑based solutions, AP provisioning, RF optimization and security.
• Cisco ISE – network access control, authentication policies, posture assessment and guest access workflows.
