About the role
We are looking for a Kitchen Helper to support daily operations in our restaurant kitchen. The role involves cleaning, food preparation, and maintaining a safe, sanitary environment.
Key responsibilities
- Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs.
- Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand.
- Keep records of the quantities of food used.
- Package take-out food.
- Portion and wrap foods.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment.
- Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas.
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash.
- Sharpen kitchen knives.
- Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors.
- Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit.
Required profile
- No formal education required.
- Prior experience is an asset.
- Participation in youth employment programs with mentorship opportunities.
