Junior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Canada

About the role

As a Junior Site Reliability Engineer you will learn how modern software systems are built, operated, and continuously improved in production. You will work alongside experienced SREs on critical services while gaining hands‑on experience with AI‑powered operational tooling.

Key responsibilities

• Support operation of critical production services, monitor health, availability and performance.
• Participate in incident response, on‑call practices and deployment validation under mentorship.
• Implement and improve monitoring, alerting, dashboards and observability using logs, metrics, traces and events.
• Develop scripts and automation to eliminate repetitive operational work and contribute to AI‑assisted runbooks.
• Partner with development teams to adopt reliability best practices and support operational readiness reviews.

Required profile

• 0‑2 years of experience through employment, internship or co‑op.
• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong problem‑solving ability, curiosity about complex systems and effective communication skills.
