About the role
The Junior Project Coordinator will support a research study evaluating emergency department peer support workers who assist patients with substance use. The role is based in the Department of Emergency Medicine at UBC and focuses on coordinating surveys, focus groups, and data collection for the study.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and manage all activities related to the peer support worker study, including patient and provider surveys, sharing circles, and focus groups.
- Implement study protocols, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Develop systematic methods for data collection and assist with analysis of process metrics and linked patient outcome data.
- Produce regular progress reports and support financial management of research accounts.
- Maintain quality control throughout the study lifecycle.
Required profile
- Recent graduate or early‑career professional with interest in health research.
- Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with researchers, clinicians, and participants.
