Junior IT Technician

About the role

Franklin Empire Inc. is seeking a motivated Junior IT Technician to join its Toronto branch. You will support internal users, maintain hardware and software, and contribute to technology projects in a company with over 80 years of industry experience.

Key responsibilities

• Install, test, maintain and update computers, peripherals and software.
• Check hardware components such as hard drives, mice and keyboards for proper functionality.
• Manage security mechanisms and troubleshoot hardware, operating systems and applications in person, remotely or by phone.
• Report anomalies, provide solutions, and update technical documentation.
• Participate in projects that implement new technologies and diagnose equipment breakdowns.
• Support internal users with equipment and software handling.
• Identify shortages in computer or network equipment.

Required profile

• DEP, DEC or AEC in computer science or a related field.
• At least 1 year of technical support experience.
• Experience with Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory, Endpoint Management, TCP/IP, and ticketing systems.
• Knowledge of Windows, Office 365, routers, firewalls, VPNs and business backup procedures.
• Strong diagnostic, problem‑solving and communication skills.
