Junior Elementary Teacher (Permanent)

About the role

The Catholic District School Board is seeking a Junior Elementary Teacher to join St. Mother Teresa School in Russell on a permanent, full‑time basis. The successful candidate will begin on September 1, 2026 and will be responsible for delivering the Ontario elementary curriculum to a diverse classroom.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess daily lessons across core subjects in accordance with Ministry guidelines.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, support staff and administration to support student achievement.
• Adapt instruction to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and backgrounds.
• Participate in school-wide events, professional development and parent‑teacher conferences.

Required profile

• Valid Ontario College of Teachers certification.
• Junior‑level experience or recent graduation from a teacher education program.
• Willingness to teach specialized subjects as required by Ministry regulations.
• Effective start date of September 1, 2026.
• Full‑time availability (1.00 FTE).
