Junior Copywriter – Creative Team

About the role

Cossette is looking for an emerging talent to join its Toronto creative community as a Junior Copywriter. You will work alongside seasoned mentors, dive into briefs, and start shaping ideas that run across every channel, including the use of modern AI tools.

Key responsibilities

• Research, fact‑check and gather information for projects, adapting insights for different media.
• Draft short‑form copy, headlines and social media posts under supervision, tailoring tone and length for each platform.
• Begin to apply and adapt brand voices to match target audiences across channels.
• Interpret creative briefs and strategic direction to inform copy development.
• Deliver crisp, clean, and emotionally resonant copy, including AI‑generated variations.
• Assist in preparing written materials for internal and client presentations.
• Organise and maintain creative files and assets, ensuring quality of decks and output.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in an advertising agency, internship, or related creative field.
• Portfolio (student or professional) that shows raw talent, conceptual promise and a passion for advertising.
• Strong writing and grammatical skills with a growing understanding of craft nuances.
• Eagerness to learn, strong work ethic and a collaborative attitude.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to take constructive feedback.
