Junior Construction Litigation Lawyer – Associate

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Construction Litigation Lawyer to join our construction team within the Civil Litigation Department. The successful candidate will support a range of construction law matters, handling file flow and meeting strict deadlines in our Barrie or Collingwood office.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file litigation documents, including pleadings and motions.
• Review, draft, and negotiate construction contracts and procurement documents.
• Conduct legal research and analyze case law to support advice.
• Participate in examinations for discovery, court appearances, arbitrations, adjudications, and mediations.
• Assist with various construction disputes such as lien claims, breach of trust, deficiency claims, and procurement issues.

Required profile

• Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
• 2‑3 years of litigation or construction litigation experience.
• Proven ability to deliver excellent client service.
• Strong drafting, research, advocacy, and communication abilities.
