IT Technician – Office Support

About the role

The Information Technology (IT) Technician – Office Support will join the internal MDK case‑management database team. Reporting to the Case Management Database Manager, the technician helps keep the database system stable, secure and fully operational for the community’s family‑service model.

Key responsibilities

• Receive intensive training on the MDK service model and database/network requirements.
• Monitor and maintain servers (email, printing, backups, software) and network hardware such as routers, switches and hubs.
• Ensure network connectivity for all workstations and enforce security safeguards.
• Document issues, prepare reports and attend meetings with senior management as needed.
• Liaise with external IT support for policy, procedure and disaster‑recovery setup.
• Maintain an inventory of database and network components and keep technical specifications up to date.

Required profile

• Ability to work collaboratively within a small technical team.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude for network and hardware issues.
• Willingness to learn the specific MDK case‑management system.
